Hatching Eggs in an Incubator (or How to Grow Your Own H0t Ch*cks)

A grandmother of one of the boys in my son's Kindergarten class lives on a farm. She brought in a bunch of chicken and guinea eggs along with an incubator, so the kids to watch them hatch. So far the count is three guineas and one chicken and the children are enchanted.

Baby birds were the chief topic at the dinner table last night as The Boy went on and on about their softness and cuteness.

Finally, he turned to his dad and asked, "Dad, do you like ch*cks?"

"Oh yes," his father assured him, whilst waggling his eyebrows at me, "I do indeed."

"Well, I like ch*cks too," The Boy said. "Have you seen the ch*cks in my classroom?"

After several minutes of more of the same, I was snickering uncontrollably and Justin was making suggestive remarks right and left. The Boy merely looked bewildered and finally announced that he didn't understand what the joke was.

I wonder if he'll remember this conversation years from now and the lightbulb will finally come on?

haha That is funny!
They are doing the same in Jordan's class.
She had announced that the chicks were dead and never hatching recently.
Then last week she came home saying that they DID hatch after all.

I seem to remember a little boy falling off a bench and telling a little girl that he loved her.
The boy knows his chicks. His dad just added some confusion.

Reminds me of a story of my younger days. I was about 13 years old and had just returned home after attending a stage show. One of the performers was a juggler, who,I thought, was so incredibly talented.
As I came back into the house my mother and Aunt were sitting visiting, and in my excitement I blurted out * oh! Boy! you should have seen the juggler, juggling his balls* There was silence for about half a second before Mom and my Aunt burst into laughter, and it took me a few minutes to catch on. I swear I was red from my toes to the top of my head.
Ahh! the innocence of youth.

And then there was the time, years ago, when the Husbandlet was playing pool with his then-girlfriend and another friend. She said, "We each have two balls. Things are getting testy!"
The Boy is absolutely adorable, love for hot chickies and all.
