What We Did Yesterday

Our neighborhood homeschooling group visited a neighbor's garage, where he is building his own airplane. He gave a great talk to the kids about building the plane as well as some of the important principles of aerodynamics. It was most cool.

And his airplane does have a retro, Bearcat kind of look to it (and he hasn't put a propeller on yet, if you are wondering at the lack on the kids' paintings).

You are raising some talented artists! The planes are beautiful. I am sure it was a fun trip too, I always enjoyed going to the Air Force Museum in Dayton when I lived there as a young kid.

Very good drawings! Is this the watercolor pencil you were telling me about, or paints?

Those are watercolor crayons, actually. The kids drew the pics in pencil and I went over them in permanent marker.
