Quarantine

I'm not planning on killing the old blog, though appearances might suggest otherwise. It's simply that I have not one, but two children with pneumonia at the moment -- and the second child, being prone to one-upmanship, is running a fever of over 104 every time the ibuprofen wears off. We were trying to finish up our school year (done, finally!). And I am busy writing my own Medieval history plans for 3 kids, which is pretty much taking up any unused brain cells. Add to this an almost 1 year old who walks and climbs, and you have a recipe for little time to blog.

I assume with a 9th on the way you already know about this but just in case... You can alternate tylenol and ibuprofen every 3 hours to avoid a fever spike. http://www.askdrsears.com/topics/medicine-cabinet/ibuprofen

I do know about alternating Tylenol and Ibuprofen, although we don't have much Tylenol in the house at the moment and I'm car-less for the day. However -- expecting #9? I only have six children and none in utero, as far as I know.

I'm so sorry about your troubles, Jordana. What a load you're carrying! Will be adding your family to my prayers. ((hug))

Jordana,

Thanks for your recent note on FB. It's hard to blog through any transition. We are buying a house and trying to sell another in a cratered market while I'm working in my hometown for the first time in decades.

Nonetheless, sometimes I don't have peace unless I blog something that is bugging me.

Theresa and I pray for you and your children and husband. Your humility in trying to figure out this motherly vocation in front of God and everybody and the blogosphere is a good witness.

Please pray for me. I am seeing my many old friends who find the Church we love to be foreign.

Stat crux dum volvitur orbis, TQ
